The John O'Brien Festival "The Australian festival of word and song" (inspired by the poetry of John O'Brien, creator of Hanrahan, the mythical town of Tangmalangaloo) is a gem, featuring music, bush poetry, busking, street parades and most of all humour. There will be walk-ups, a fantastic pub session, and lots of children's activities, a craft fair, an art exhibition and an Anzac tribute. There will also be market stalls as well as a touch of the Irish, evident in music and in song. This festival has a reputation for friendliness and fun. Ticket prices will vary depending on the event. Many events will be free. Children's entry will be free to many events. For more information: www.johnobrien.org.au
